News is crossing the wires today that Katz Group has decided to end its self-distribution project and sign a deal with McKesson to service their stores.
This is a big win for McKesson and allows Katz to focus on its core competencies in managing its retails stores and private label brands.
Of course, we speculated a few weeks ago that Katz and Jean Coutu might be potential merger partners (read more here) and now that McKesson is a key distributor to both firms it makes things even more interesting….
